Baglan is bisected by the M4 Motorway, and the Fabian Way, which separate the hillside development from Baglan Moors in Sandfields. While both parts are largely residential, Baglan Moors has seen some redevelopment with the building of Port Talbot Hospital, the Health centre, a Morrison's supermarket,and the Ysgol Bae Baglan superschool.
